cen we talk?
They laughed in the quiet of summer skies, Two hearts entwined, no need for disguise He held her hand, perfect in every way. But perfection, she feared, would lead her astray She left him one day, no words to explain, Her heart heavy with love, but too scared of the pain For she knew she'd fall deeper, no turning around, And the thought of attachment felt like she'd drown. He watched her go, heart shattered, undone, Wondering why love felt like chasing the sun. Two hearts now broken, a silent goodbye Both tried to move on, but neither knew why Months rolled by, and then came the fall, First day of university, amidst it all, She saw him again, in a crowded hail, His eyes found hers, and time began to stall They couldn't look away, no words to speak, For the love they shared made them both weak Back at home, her heart full of doubt, She picked up her phone and typed it out: "Can we please just talk?" He read the words and knew it was fate, No more running, no more debate They talked and talked, the hours slipped by Unraveling the fears they couldn't deny. Yes, they'd get attached, of that they were. sure But isn't love what they both longed for? Scared but brave, they made a vow- To never let fear break
