Castles of sand
As children, pure in all forms, we built castles of sand. When we grew older, we molded the sand brick by brick, with sweat, snot, and blood, under backbreaking rain, beneath a sun that scalds the earth, and promised not to break laws we made, principles we swore to abide by. But someday, it all comes crashing, in waves and stacks, scattered in debris, when the line we vowed never to cross becomes too blurred. The boundary between good and bad, sanity and insanity, becomes our jump rope. We sink further into our very own hell, to dine with the devils before us.
