Carousel
Like a child in a carousel, The idea of fun doomed, As the circle made me wobble, As the cycle made me puke, Crying to get off it, Screaming to make it stop, Tied to the horses, Living the burn for years, As you would never admit you're wrong, I speak to only be silenced, I speak to only get shut off, I speak to only learn I should have never spoken, To push you off the ride, Make you listen, "It's not about you" Followed by the serenity, Achieving common ground, It all ends, It's a happily ever after, Wake up little girl, As we both know, It just never ends does it?
