Care Has Favorites
Everybody cares about what they love · You’ll see it in how they hold, how they serve, how they stay. They'll walk through storms for the ones in their heart, But forget the shadows who paved part of the way. A brother who once shared bread and dreams, Now holds his wife like she's his whole sun and sky. His sister waits with memories in hand Still smiling, though he rarely replies. Friends who once danced under the stars, Now keep their warmth for family calls. You watch their stories with silent pride, Yet wonder when your name last touched their walls. It’s not that they mean to make hearts ache · It’s just.. love consumes, and focus narrows. They care deeply · yes, truly they do · But sometimes love forgets the quiet sparrows. Everybody cares about what they love And that love can make others feel unseen. Not out of cruelty, just a drifting tide, Where care becomes both balm and screen. So if you're one of the ones left waiting, With a heart half full and half denied. Please know, your worth was never missing. You're just not what they prioritized.
