captive love
This sensation is strange— like living in captivity, with the will to leave yet no strength to escape. Just a frog boiled alive in its own water, unaware. I thought they were lies, those warnings they gave. But now, I lead myself to the gallows— willingly. A strong man turned to a pawn, carrying out her wishes, bound by silent chains. Pathetically, I lock myself back in the cell, hating the torment but still slaving away— hoping for the best, while gratitude is stamped on my back like a brand. On my knees, I bleed whenever I yearn for freedom. But hope keeps me trapped, its sweetness laced with poison. If only the wants buried in my heart could be passed to her— a whisper of truth, a glimpse of this burden. Maybe then, freedom could be found instead of waiting for donkey’s years, longing for dreams in a world that was never meant to be a Utopia OTP
