cannibal love
cannibal love In the dawn of love, we swore forevermore, A bond unbreakable, a promise to adore. But shadows crept where light once brightly shone, And in your heart, a toxic seed was sown. You used me, love, for all that I could give, Drained my soul, yet claimed you let me live. Each word, a weapon, sharp and cold as ice, Your warmth a guise, your heart a sacrifice. Friends watched in silence, distant and aloof, Their counsel hollow, offering no proof. They whispered lies that fanned the cruel charade, While you returned, our love a twisted game replayed. You left me shattered, cast aside like waste, A broken soul in emptiness embraced. Yet back you came, with promises anew, To play once more, to break and to subdue. Their eyes, indifferent, saw my anguished plea, But offered naught, their help a mockery. I stood alone, ensnared in your cruel bind, While they looked on, compassion left behind. Now, love lies bleeding, fractured on the floor, A testament to trust that is no more. In the ruins of a dream that could not last, I find my strength, to rise from shadows cast. But echoes linger, whispers of the past, A love once promised, now a curse so vast. Though friends may fail, and hearts may turn bleed.
