Can l have a cookie?βΊππͺ
In the kitchen, warm and bright, A sweet aroma takes to flight, Chocolate chips and dough so fine, A whispered wish, βOh, can I dine?β The jar sits high upon the shelf, A treasure trove, a treat itself, With every glance, my heart does race, A cookieβs charm, a warm embrace. βCan I have a cookie?β I softly plead, A simple joy, a tiny need, With sprinkles of hope and a dash of cheer, The answer lingers, sweet and near. The oven hums a gentle tune, As golden rounds begin to bloom, A sprinkle of sugar, a pinch of love, A cookieβs magic, sent from above. So here I stand, with eyes aglow, In the warmth of the kitchen, where dreams do flow, βCan I have a cookie?β my heart does sing, For in that moment, joyβs the sweetest thing.
