CAFÉ
I remember the times we spent together in the streets where blurred faces blend within the steel walls of brick and mortar I remember the cafe we spoke at, the laughs we shared in the burning heat where your hair was the only thing that was burnt like a fire of red and orange coexisting, I also remember the cry we shared yours loud and mine silent it happened fast everything is fine and then as you blink it's like a drip of water from the sink it splashes and becomes nothing but a mess That night I looked at the stars where I saw it all the empty bed the floor strewn a mess of clothes no motivation to move but no choice to breathe the day I lost my world the day the moon was my only light even if it flickers, soon enough it will go out too all but darkness shall fill my life and my soul you were no you are what gave me meaning when I see you again we shall smile we shall share a laugh to remember the good times we will sit in the cafe once again share an espresso as we express our affection we will be happy as we once were in the past lives we have lived once before for we are meant to be same as the blood is meant to flow to our hearts to sustain the life that we desperately cling to.
