By the Bay
By the Bay by Jack A.S. Dunce The sea has always sang my lullaby Each crashing wave a note played on her flute from a sonata penned by the most High, a grand melodious musical tribute. When I close my eyes, I feel her gentle sway, as mothers do to put their child to sleep. On my feet her warm hands she lays assuring me that I'm in her keep. But I know that I soon have to leave; forever has been always time bound. It's just a snake oil sold to the naive. I hear in the distance the trumpet sound. In time, I'll cross the bridge to faraway, until then I'll watch the waves by the bay. ©️pgmr 11/06/2024 *Inspired by the photo of FB @Mga tulang isinulat sa lupa mga tintang galing sa luha
