Butterfly Boom
Driving down a main road A butterfly darts out in front of my car Not across but directly in front Forward facing, as if leading the way Its body is quite thick and pronounced it's wings floating, fluttering between my breathlessness A speaker of sound boo.ing out from beneath its left wing ...or so it seemed, I wondered The timing of these things Nevertheless, I continue til I turn right There in momentum but no butterfly insight My mind, plagued with the thought Awesome with the cost, could the essence of time be speaking above its wings Pouncing out loud and seen Reaching above the peaks of humanity Inspiration and insanity informed of deliverance thru a booming thing
