Butterfly 🦋
In yonder glade where shadows lie, Behold, a winged wight doth roam, Soft-treaded 'neath the azure sky, A fleeting sprite from Faery’s home. With gossamer wings, as hues unfold, In motley garb of dusk and dawn, It flits, a tale of old retold, Where mortal eyes and dreams are drawn.Methinks it holds a mystic lore, In gentle flight o'er bloom and briar, A whisper from the days of yore, With secrets forged in sun’s warm fire.Thou art the grace of fleeting years, Fair spirit bound to earth and air, Thy dance doth quell our deepest fears, And leave our hearts as light as prayer. In silence borne upon the breeze, O, sylph of sweet, ephemeral ways, Thou art the soul of ancient trees, The echo of forgotten days.
