Broken Woods
O, there lies a forest where I may hide, there my compassion wanders, there my love goes astray, seek me till your eyes meet mine, and tell me, where did the days lead you? My love, this is not the hour, our love was like drifting leaves, our song faded with the evening breeze, I know your heart may find a gentler shore, there goes my heart, broken and bare. O, I dwelt hidden in that shattered grove, you could not find my footprints, our love was but a passing season, it faded where shadows sleep, O, there goes my heart within that broken wood.
