Broken Souls
In the serenity of my room, I sit and sigh, A jaded soul, with dreams gone dry. The clock ticks on, a relentless guide, To a withered heart, where hopes reside. The world outside spins fast and free, But within these walls, it's just tired me. Longing for a spark, a burst of light, To lift the shadows of this endless night. Yet, in this fatigue, a whisper grows, A gentle reminder that even the rose, Needs time to rest, to heal, to thrive, To bloom again, and feel alive. So I'll rest tonight, in silent plea, For morning's light to set me free. A new day's promise, a fresh start, To rekindle the fire in my weary heart.
