BROKEN PROMISE
In the realm of broken promises, I dwell, Where shattered dreams and hopes do tell, A tale of trust that was torn apart, Leaving behind a wounded heart. Once upon a time, a vow was made, A promise sealed, in love's cascade, But time and circumstance took their toll, And the promise we made began to unfold. Words spoken with such conviction and grace, Now echo as empty echoes in this space, The bond we shared, now fractured and torn, Leaving behind a sense of forlorn. Promises, like fragile glass, can break, Leaving behind a trail of heartache, But amidst the pain, there's room to heal, To find forgiveness and make love real. For broken promises can be a chance, To learn, to grow, to embrace the dance, Of understanding, empathy, and grace, To rebuild what was lost, to find a new place. So let us mend the pieces, one by one, And let our love shine brighter than the sun, For in the ashes of broken promises, we'll find, A love that's stronger, resilient, and kind.
