Broken Pieces
You can't expect the one who broke you, To gather the shards, to mend anew. The hands that caused your heart to shatter, Cannot restore what they made scatter. For in the breaking, trust was lost, And healing comes at a heavy cost. Seek not from them the balm you need, For they have caused your heart to bleed. Look within and find your strength, Piece by piece, go any length. In your own hands, the power lies, To heal, to rise, to touch the skies. Forgive yourself for all the pain, And slowly, you'll become whole again. For you alone can mend your heart, And from your sorrow, make a start.
