BROKEN, NOW WHOLE
In the darkness of solitude, I roamed With my heart shattered, my spirit disowned Broken and lost, I searched for a light To guide me through the never-ending night Alone and broken, I built my walls Hiding my pain, ignoring love's calls Afraid to trust, afraid to feel For fear of being hurt, for fear of the real But then you came, like a gentle breeze Whispering words that put my heart at ease You saw through my walls, you saw my scars And with your love, you healed my broken parts I fought against it, I pushed you away But you stayed beside me, every single day You showed me that love is worth the risk And with you by my side, I found my bliss With you, I learned that being alone Is not the same as feeling alone For in your arms, I found my home A love so pure, a love like I've never known Now I dance in the light, once again Forgetting the pain, forgetting the pain For with you, I've found my missing piece And in your love, I've found my release So thank you, my love, for mending my heart For showing me that love can truly restart And though I was broken, I am now whole For I found true love, in the depths of my soul.
