broken friendship
Once we laughed and shared our dreams, In a world that glittered with golden beams. Hand in hand, we faced the days, In a dance of light, in myriad ways. But whispers dark and shadows fell, In silence deep, where secrets dwell. Words unspoken built a wall, Brick by brick, began our fall. Promises faded, trust did break, In echoes of the hearts that ache. Misunderstandings took their toll, And distance grew, a gaping hole. No more the laughter, no more the smiles, Just empty paths and endless miles. Memories of what once was bright, Now linger in the lonely night. Yet in the silence, lessons learned, Of bridges crossed and bridges burned. Though friendship's flame no longer burns, In every end, a new page turns. For in the shards of broken ties, New strength and wisdom often lies. And though our paths have split in two, The journey forward starts anew.
