Broken - A Short Poem.
My burdened heart, so weary and abandoned, So much so, my hope was left stranded. Maybe things would have been different, If his love for me were consistent. But no, he left my heart with a gaping hole, So deep I realized he never cherished me whole. I hate him, to the ends of the earth, For never once acknowledging my true worth. But I could never separate, Because his deceptive love turned me desperate. My soul still clings, To our happy memories, though it stings. I gave my heart to you, Believing you wouldn't break it in two. But you did, I tried confronting you, but you hid. You tricked me into giving in, Now I'm left to battle this pain within. I wrote this poem, in hopes you might find it, So that you'd realize your crimes bit by bit.
