broken
A fragile vase, once whole and bright, Shattered now in pale moonlight. Each shard a memory, sharp and cold, A story of a love untold. The echo of a final word, A silence where a song was heard. A hollow ache within the chest, Putting the spirit to the test. I trace the cracks upon the floor, The places where you are no more. A ghost of touch, a whispered name, Just ashes from a dying flame. But in the dust, a single gleam, A flicker of a forgotten dream. A painful truth, I now can see, The pieces belong to me.
