Bright Fame
In the depths of his soul, a man resides, With wounds so deep, he chooses to hide. He walks through life with a heavy heart, Unwilling to let healing be impart. His scars run deep and etched in his skin, A constant reminder of the pain within. He fears the light that may bring relief, Preferring the darkness, his only belief. He shuns the hands that reach out in care, Rejecting the love that's offered, aware. For in his brokenness, he finds solace, A twisted comfort in his own darkness. But oh, how I wish he could see, The beauty in every possibility. To let go of the past, to embrace the light, And find peace in the midst of his fight. Yet, it is not for me to decide, For it is his journey, it is his ride. But may the gentle breezes soothe his troubled mind, May the warmth of the sunlight bring solace in his life.
