Brick by decomposing brick
Slowly building this brick wall, from sunrise to sunset. Constantly afraid I might fail, fail at protecting my home that looks ever so frail. Protecting this homestead I've built all on my own, is all I've ever known. Placing my walls whenever I feel low, or when I feel as if they had never known. Never knowing how they ripped those walls down, and exposed me to every one they had once known. Rebuilding these walls, ever so slow, relaying this shaken foundation so it may be made whole. Marking the mistakes and keeping them in mind, hoping these walls will last me a lifetime.
