Breaking Apart
Slowly breaking down Heard without a sound. Seen without trying Begging without crying. My silence is louder than my joyful laugh, They've grown accustomed to my smile and they wonder where it's gone when I'm mad. They wonder why I get angry as if it's not human of me. Yet when I cry they see it as one of my qualities. I cannot express anger, so I break apart. I cannot feel like a victim, So I stab my heart. Anger seems like a quality I cannot show, Like a sin not meant to be exuded from my soul... I want to scream in rage into the sky, I want to for once finally feel alive. I want to be understood and heard. I want to be free like a bird. But I guess I'll just fall apart, Be as free as I can with a heavy heart...
