Both sides
The sun is beating down, and I’m stuck somewhere between wanting to keep going and wanting to sit down for a while. That’s the thing about life. it never feels like just one thing. Some days it’s beautiful, like cold water, good music, a laugh that comes out of nowhere. Other days it’s heavy, hot air in your chest, bad timing, too much to think about and nowhere to put it. I look at life from one side and it feels like a gift. I look from the other and it feels like something I’m just trying to survive. Maybe both are true. Maybe life is the shade and the heat, the reason I’m tired and the reason I keep walking. So I don’t try to make it simple anymore. I just stand here, feeling the sun on my face, knowing life can burn and still be bright.
