Borrowed face

We all have a "image'" or impression we put for people to see hiding all our flaws and scares. That's our borrowed face. The personality and actions u show based on who your with. We do this in the fear that they will flee The second they see ur weakened frame with all the scratches and scares from the old pain. The borrowed face always has a smile,is kind and known as "soft". Many believe that that's who we are but some look beneath the borrowed face and see the swollen eyes and stains on your face from crying ur endless nights away. Will we ever stop using this borrowed face? Will the pain ever go away. See that mystery reminds. Some very lucky people don't have borrowed faces yet they too have pain hidden inside them. So put the borrowed face away. Show your true colours because if they were true friends or lovers. They'd stay even when they see ur scars and broken frames 🦋🪟
