"Born Free
Today is your birthday and I’m missing you so. Why aren’t you here? Oh where did you go? You were my youngest child; and always my baby. You walked on the wild side; a little bit crazy. Such a beautiful, little boy with blonde hair and curls. You grew up not conforming to this serious world. To a routine life, you never surrendered. You were always seeking some exciting adventure. You were unique in your thinking. You never followed the crowd. You danced in the rain, and you sang right out loud. No one was a stranger. You talked to everyone. There was never a boring moment. You made everything fun. You had a kind, giving heart. You gave a homeless man your shoes, and your last ten dollars for him to buy food. Caution wasn’t a word that you ever knew. You were reckless and daring your whole lifetime through. You jumped from an airplane; like you, a free fall. You traveled the world. Yes, you saw it all. You road on an elephant and a camel too, and the horses in Texas, like the cowboys do. You dove from the cliffs into the sea, never fearing the outcome, you had to be free. You partied hard; you loved living so much. You threw caution to the wind
