Born at Night
You've mistaken me for a fool, You think I'm deaf, dumb, and blind- You try to make me think I'm crazy, and this is all something I've made up in my own mind. You clutch your phone tightly as if you're holding on for dear life, you spend your nights sleeping in your car- when inside your home is a warm bed and your wife. You leave little hints and clues, thought most you attempt to burn- And when I ask a simple question, I get the blame in return. Texting apps and late night video calls, long, frequent trips to bathroom stalls- Calls from numbers no where near, ring them back, only heavy breathing in my ear- Or others sent to bogus lines, Who calls 888 numbers at 3 a.m.? She's a cousin, an old friend, he doesn't know...she messaged him.... And you expect me to believe that something isn't right, it's shady? I was born on a dark night, but it wasn't LAST NIGHT, baby.
