Bodies
Burning wood, crackling in the wind, The scent of sorrow rising with the smoke. Ashes fall remnants of beauty, Now crumbled beneath the boots of ghosts Hollowed eyes haunt the soil Where dreams once bloomed in spring's tender light. Now crimson cloaks the broken earth, And hope retreats beneath the fight. A gun, an anchor to every soul, Strapped tight like fate upon the chest. Casing shells, like autumn leaves, Litter the field where peace once slept. No anthems here, only whispers, Souls crying out from realms unseen. Yet silence drapes the shattered world, A stillness louder than the screams. This is no ending, no final breath, But a wound that time refuses to mend. The war still burns beneath the soil A fire that learns to never end.
