Blurred Reality
I stand on the edge where the shadows distort, Where truth is a game, a cruel, wicked sport. The lines all dissolve between what is and seems, Lost in the wreckage of fractured dreams.Eyes open wide, yet they show me a lie, A world where the whispers of reason have died. Faces seem hollow, and voices are thin, In a masquerade dance, where do I begin?Hands reach out for something concrete, But all that I grasp is a hollow deceit. The mirror reflects what I fear I might be, A phantom, a figment, adrift in the sea.Time twists in circles, hours drip slow, Reality fades where the cold shadows grow. My thoughts are a labyrinth, winding and deep, Awake in a nightmare where no one’s asleep. Is this breath even mine? Is this ground beneath true? Or am I just dreaming in a dream dreamt by you? The difference is fading, the truth starts to break— I'm lost in the void between real and fake.I scream for a sign, for a shred of the light, But all that I find is the endless night. Caught in this haze where nothing is clear, Wishing for certainty… or to disappear.
