Outside not starving but surviving. I am not alone! Even at the blackest beside her is my home. Paranoia, drugs and sexual tension; mosquitos, ticks and midnight storms. Is this the lowest? I don't want you scared in the woods! I don't want fights in the darkness, we can do better if we think better. The air is local but clean, my skin shadowed with dirt. But besides you I stay, inside you I play; tomorrow I pray. For better days, sunshine and heartstrings. Playing music in my soul, beside you I think I belong. But outside here against the elements. Drunkards and hobos, an aura of orange and blue; the skies even somehow remind me of you. Boxes of feed and cans of heart, no matter the journey beside you is where I finish and start
