Blue is the color of silence ;
I wished for him to live, and whispered to a god I never learned to trust. Take my breath instead, I said, trade my mornings for his. But silence kept its distance. And all I held was winter in his skin, blue quiet, eyes closed like unfinished sentences. Now he visits when sleep loosens the doors, and even in daylight the cold stays. Forgetting feels like betrayal, so I keep the moment alive, a wish still echoing with nowhere to land.
