blood on your hands
You laughed while they were breaking, Called it “just a joke,” no harm in faking. You pointed fingers, rolled your eyes, Ignored their pain, believed the lies. You never saw the tears they hid, The sleepless nights, the prayers they did. You never asked what lay beneath, The silent screams, the grinding teeth. You mocked the way they looked and dressed, Crushed their spirit, called them less. And when they broke, when they let go You acted shocked, like you didn’t know. But words can cut, and looks can kill, And silence screams when hearts stand still. They didn’t jump, they were pushed instead, By every cruel word you said. So now they’re gone, and you're still here, But guilt will whisper in your ear. Because when you laughed and turned away... You helped to end a life that day. And though you never raised a knife The blood is on your hands for life.
