Blindness & Regret
The clock ticks on, and I see more clear, The foolish hope I held so dear. My blindness now, a painful sting, How little you cared, how much you didn't bring. I built a castle on shifting sand, A love imagined, a promised land. But the truth was stark, the vision flawed, A perfect picture, beautifully flawed. They warned me, pleaded, tried to show, The cracks in the façade, the seeds of woe. But I, consumed, refused to see, The storm approaching, relentlessly. And now I'm left with this bitter truth, A love that faded, in its fragile youth. I'll carry the weight of what might have been, A love I still feel, lost in this scene.
