Blind
In twilight's glow where dreams begin to weave, I found a love I was too blind to leave. Their eyes were stars, their touch a fleeting fire, But in their warmth, I felt a cold desire. They spun a web of charm and fleeting grace, A tender smile that masked a hidden face. In every kiss, a promise seemed to bloom, Yet shadows danced around the whispered gloom. My heart, a fool, was caught in love's bright snare, Ignoring the warnings tangled in the air. I gave my all to a mirage of light, Believing in a love that felt so right. But as the days turned to a somber hue, I saw the cracks in what I thought I knew. For in their arms, a truth began to show, A love that's wrong can only bring more woe. Yet even as I mend and let them go, Their echo lingers in my heart's soft glow. I learned too late the cost of love so blind, A lesson carved by a heart left behind.
