Bleeding in Love
In the halls of higher learning, I did roam, Hoping for a love that felt like home. But the pages of my story, a tale of woe, In this labyrinth of hearts, where do I go? I thought I'd find a love, pure and true, But it seems my heart's compass is askew. Am I too difficult to cherish and adore, Or has my soulmate slipped away forevermore? Those who love me, I can't reciprocate, And those I love, it's a cruel twist of fate. In this tangled web of feelings, I reside, Bleeding in love, my heart open wide. Perhaps destiny's hand has played its part, Tearing love from the chambers of my heart. But I'll search on, through the tears and strife, Hoping to find the love that brings me back to life. For in this dilemma of love, I'll stay, Hoping to find the dawn after this night of gray. Though my heart may bleed, my spirit will soar, In the quest for love, forevermore.
