Blank
I stare at my paper and think of nothing but the darkness that whirls in my mind. It shrouds me into a trembling state My hand seemed too heavy when I commanded it to crawl. My grip on the quil, not lost as it drips onto the blank pages in smudgy black ink. Its drops louder than my quiet heartbeat. Words became unfathomable My eyes glues to the dripping ink could think of nothing else Like a robot in reset I sat blank and confused. Staring at the only sentence that made me undone. An answer to the question being searched deeply within me Came out blank. As the answer could not find the question.
