Black Shadow's Pall
You know I never get down or depressed, get all out of sorts, or even moody or blue. That has been true for almost fifty years, and that's only because of my love for you. But there are scenarios that I've imagined, where all my strength and brightness succumbs. Its always when I think of your moment of passing; that's when the haunting black shadows come. For I have loved you so long and so tender: We've had a few struggles, that is for certain, But we have both shared the most wonderful life. Now, we're approaching our final curtain. And I pray our love story is far, far from over; that we will have many more years to recall. But if you should find me silent and gloomy; know that I'm feeling the black shadow's pall.
