In realms of systemic oppression, where shadows reign A cry echoes through the ages, a righteous refrain A call to awaken conscience, to shatter chains of pain And recognize the inherent worth, of every life's sacred stain For centuries, the weight of racism's heavy hand Has crushed the dreams, and stifled the voice of a noble land The echoes of slavery's whip, still linger in the air A painful legacy, that demands we confront, and share The struggles of the marginalized, the silenced, and the worn Their stories woven into tapestries, of trials born From Emmett Till to Trayvon, to countless unnamed Their lives cut short, their potential, forever reclaimed Yet still we rise, with resilience unbroken Our spirits unshackled, our voices unspoken We claim our heritage, our culture, our right To live, to breathe, to thrive, in the light of day and night For Black lives matter, in all their majestic might Their beauty, brilliance, and strength, shining like a beacon bright Their struggles, triumphs, and legacies, forever intertwined With the very fabric of humanity, inextricably aligned So let us march, with purpose and resolve Against injustice, against hate, we shall evolve A world where equality, and justice.
