Black Dove
Black Dove by: Jack A.S. Dunce A year and more adrift in the great flood Cooped in an Ark with the rest of the world Deprived of light and flight, its driving blood The Appetites spilling out of the mold At random, it was chosen from the throng A black bird picked by Man from the shadows By his hands, Man released the death bird's song Ruled by desires, death and decay it knows The bird was the first to take to the skies Right after the great deluge waned and passed It flew for days in search of land, its prize The Appetites breached the mold at long last When it found land, the bird's desires ran wild At the sight of remains strewn all through out It feasted and gorged; it became defiled The glutton, to its hunger, was devout The Appetites loose and fully in reign In a world that was rife with spoils and loot The black bird was again in lock and chain Its keeper was its hunger and cahoot (c)pgmr 11/20/2023 Photo not mine, Cttro
