Bitter dream π
I am filled with you, your presence haunts me, more persistently than anything I owe to the world. Am I still no, am I allowed to think of you, while you wake on a Monday morning beside someone flawless? You linger , like clouds that never quite leave the sky, always above me, yet get too close and I would be burned . And still , if the flame comes from you, I would not resist it. Tell me, what kind of karmic joke am I living in, that I cannot even glimpse you, while strangers see you every day? Faces promise me forever, and place it into my hands like something meant to last. But their promises, they are given in pockets with holes. Nothing stays. Everything falls through. Faces that resemble you, but never feel like you. They leave - and then they live, like you , without the weight of what they said. Without me. And I remain holding what was never kept.
