birthday wishes and prayers for long life and prosperity an epistle about how we met, with lines about the uncertain future we're meant to share advice about navigating the teenage years, or maybe, a toast to life and better days ahead. the things I hope for on my birthday, but instead, I'm stuck in my room at 3:00am trying to blink back tears tears of sadness obviously, being irrelevant isn't necessarily a thing of joy. 16 years of existence without friends, a reason to question myself but I should still be happy right??.... after all I'm the birthday girl. waking up to loud voices singing the classic birthday song blowing out scented candles and making wishes that will probably never come true opening gifts and unwrapping thoughtful presents, all in my head since in real life it's just an ordinary day that will eventually pass without any recollection of memories to share an escape from reality, something I can only find in movies a day in my life as the certified birthday girl.
