Bird's rest
Among the branches, soft feathers gather where their day sings fade As the day turns into night Curious little eyes blink slowly, At peace while their wings bring warmth Resting elegantly upon the branches Towards their little ones they go to the nest Under the thick blanket of darkness called sky, Where the shadows have faded A gentle breeze ruffles their feathers While stars begin to flicker, The parents hum lullabies to their young, They find serenity and solace, Simple and still, as the world breathes slow They rest, knowing that a promising dawn is always around the corner They rest, Bird's rest
