Between Phases
He was a full moon, and I was a waning gibbous, His light, complete, glowing bright, His presence calm, serene, a guide through night, While I waned with shadows, not yet whole, not quite right. He ruled the sky with effortless grace, Steady and serene, commanding the dark, I, a whisper of what was yet to be, Flickering, unsure, a hesitant spark. He lit the sky, a beacon in the night, He shone with confidence, a radiant glow, I hovered, caught between the dark and light, Unsure which path my heart should follow. He was a full moon, and I was a waning gibbous, But in his brilliance, I found my light within, No longer caught between the pull of tides, I learned to trust the shadows of my skin.
