It's been a long time Since I last wrote a poem for you. The years have kept moving, But some memories refuse to fade. There are days when I smile At the thought of what we shared, And days when a memory returns As gently as the morning light. Sometimes I dream of you, And for a moment it feels so real. No distance, no years between us, Just the comfort of seeing you again. Not because I'm holding on to the past, But because some people leave a mark So deep upon the heart That time only teaches us how to carry it.
