Between Battles and Butterflie
In the quiet of the night, I hear the battles of my heart. Each breath a struggle, each step a mountain, Yet I keep walking, Though the shadows cling to my shoulders. The world outside is loud, But inside, a war rages silently, Invisible to all but me. I gave up laughter for midnight toil, Sleep for dreams that seem so far away. I learned that pain is a teacher, And sacrifice the ink with which I write my story. And then, a flutter, soft and sudden, A presence that turns storms into gentle rain. Your smile a lighthouse in the darkest night, Your eyes, a quiet harbor where I could rest. Between battles and butterflies, I find a space for hope. So I carry both scars and wings, Learning that battles and butterflies share the same sky. The pain taught me courage, The flutter taught me joy. And in this dance of shadows and light, I keep moving, Because even broken hearts can soar, Even weary souls can dream.
