Better Me
Every dawn, I rise with a plea, To be more than yesterday's me, To shed the skin of doubt and fear, And don the armor of a stronger year. I pray to find the path, to change my way, To become the vision of my highest day, To let go of the chains that bind and weigh, And soar on wings of hope, to brighter rays. My heart desires, I pray to fulfill, To chase the dreams that make my soul stand still, To be the best version, I was meant to be, And shine with light, that's been locked deep within me. One day, I'll stand tall, and proud of who I am, Self-love and acceptance, will be my gentle plan, I'll look in the mirror, and smile with glee, And say, "I'm better now, I'm finally free." I know I'll grow, I'll learn, I'll evolve, My tomorrow will be greater, my spirit will revolve, I'll rise above the noise, I'll shine so bright, And be the best version, of myself, in the light.
