Better as a Dream
And there, in that moment, the result was better when it was just a dream. Less ache when longing to know than longing to forget. When memories begin to fade, they return again at the slightest. Whether it be a scent, a sight, or a sound, they make a scene. Nevertheless, all one can do is stay occupied. Trying every chance to feel whole again. But time is the only bandage that can cover the wound.
