Betrayed and Broken
I trusted him, I thought he’d stay, But in the end, he turned away. A friend I thought, but now I see, He wasn’t who I thought he’d be. With every word, with every lie, He tore my soul and made me cry. I gave him trust, I gave him love, But all he did was push and shove. I wanted kindness, warmth, and care, But all I found was hate in the air. He never saw the heart I gave, And left me broken, left me to crave. The pieces of me, scattered wide, A shattered self I try to hide. In every glance, in every stare, He showed me nothing, just despair. I wished for more, for love to bloom, But all I got was silent gloom. My innocence, he stole away, And left me with the price to pay. Now I stand, alone and torn, A soul that's weary, bruised, and worn. I thought he’d care, I thought he'd see, But in the end, he hated me. The pain he caused, it cuts so deep, A wound I cannot close or keep. But though he’s gone, I still remain, A broken heart, a lasting pain. Yet still I rise, though weak and small, I’ll find my way through this cruel fall. For though he broke me, I’ll survive, A broken soul, still trying to thrive.
