Betrayed
In empty promises, I placed my trust, Lured by "You're the only one," I was unjustly hust. Captive to sweet lies, heart deceived and worn, What fault of mine deserved betrayal's scorn? Beside you, yet you yearn for another's face, In your arms, but distant in your mind's dark place. Is something lacking in me? Trust, now shattered, leaves only pain, A heavy heart, weighed down by love in vain. Like a sharp sword, sorrow cuts deep inside, A wound that gapes, a heart that cannot hide. When will you see your mistake's dark stain? When will remorse guide you to apologize and atone? Once lost, trust remains gone. Forever true: Cheater is always a cheater
