BETRAYAL'S WHISPER
In your darkest hours, they were a myth, Their loyalty a story,a fragile monolith . Shadows n the daylight,a constant sight, But with the coming storm, they took to flight. They praised your ascent,a cheerful, loud chorus, Yet whispered behind you,a venomous morass. The smiles were a costume,a role they would play, While they sharpened the knives they would use on you someday. Their kind words were promises, spoken in jest, Designed to placate, putting feelings to the test. They lied and they used you ,a calculated game, Leaving your hollow heart gutted, and your soul aflame. You trusted their faces, their soft, soothing lies, Never suspecting the hatred held deep in their eyes. But now the illusion has crumbled to dust, Leaving a wound that will fester with rust. The betrayal runs deeper than simple disdain, It's poison that courses through every vein. The silence is deafening where laughter once rang, As you mourn the friendship that died with a bang!!.
