Betrayal's Blackened Touch
In shadows deep, where whispers crawl, I tread a path of shattered trust, Each step I take, a bitter fall, Through veins where love was once robust. The dagger’s edge, now kissed with rust, Drips venom into open veins, A heart once gold, now turned to dust, Writhes in the grasp of silent chains. Your smile, a blade behind the eyes, Twists sweetly in its cruel disguise, Each word you spoke, a laced demise, Dissolving truth in woven lies. Beneath my skin, where darkness swirls, The rot of trust begins to spread, In twisted roots it grasps and curls, A blackened wound that won’t be shed. The flesh decays, yet still it clings, The pain a constant, gnawing sting, Betrayal’s song, a deathly ring, Echoes through the blood it brings. I bleed in colors deep and vile, A canvas soaked in putrid bile, For every lie you carved in style, Has stained my soul with venom’s smile. Yet in this grave of broken faith, Where light and love are lost to scathe, I rise a ghost, devoid of breath, Haunted by your morbid wraith. A phantom of the trust we knew, Now bathed in sorrow’s darkest hue, I fade, yet in my heart I rue, The day I ever trusted you
